ABOUT ME

I can't remember when I started to write, I just remember always enjoying it. Since my first 'book' entitled Charlie, written when I was about 12 (which was basically my very own Biggles adventure), I have always been in love with the cathartic joy of writing.

Having left University in 1998 with an English degree I have toyed around with different styles and genres over the years; for a long while I only wrote short stories based on my experiences in life; my viewpoints and state of mind.  Inspired by the blunt, real world of Charles Bukowski my stories were often cynical reflections of reality as I saw it.

Over time, and since I have become a primary school teacher, I have wandered into the wonderful land of children's books.  With their sense of adventure, humour, fantasy and mystery I have fallen in love with the genre and have written a number of novels, which are as yet unpublished.

I currently live in a small South Lincolnshire village in England with my lovely wife, Julie, our three demanding but wonderful children, Molly, Jack and Alfie, and our two dogs, Charlie and Snuggles.
